Traditional hand moulded terracotta and glazed faience components required to replicate existing conservation type work can be very difficult to source for the specifier.

NBS offer this specialised product from the Golem hand moulded works in Germany based upon full details produced by the NBS in house design team.

Golem's craftsmen undertake handmoulded terracotta faience and ceramic work using traditional techniques to exacting levels of workmanship.This type of product has been of particular interest for conservation and refurbishment work, and is also being used increasingly for new build projects.

NBS have combined this traditional product with modern construction techniques such as precasting the smaller terracotta components to form large span single units which are then brought to site and craned into position on the building.

Complex shapes and section profiles can easily be acheived using this technique, with all the cutting and moulding work being undertaken in factory controlled conditions - the terracotta being positively keyed into the R.C. backing using stainless steel dowels in accordance with BBA certified techniques.

The larger finished panels can then either be factory pointed or delivered to site for pointing, to exactly match the mortar colour of any adjoining in-situ work.
